Citizens of specific countries: Starting from January 1, 2024, US citizens traveling to China can apply for a visa to China without providing application materials such as round-trip airfare, hotel reservations, itinerary, or invitation letters.
Holding an invitation letter: foreigners holding a travel invitation letter issued by a unit or individual in China do not need to provide air tickets and hotel orders when applying for a tourist visa.
Enjoy visa free policy: From November 30, 2024 to December 31, 2025, holders of ordinary passports from 38 countries including Brunei, France, and Germany who come to China for tourism and sightseeing for no more than 30 days are eligible for visa free entry without the need to apply for a tourist visa or provide relevant documents.
