What are the requirements for foreign Chinese to apply for permanent residence identity cards?

Foreign Chinese applying for a Chinese permanent residency identity card must comply with Chinese laws, be in good health, have no criminal record, and meet one of the following conditions:

1. Investment personnel: Direct investment in China, with stable investment situation and good tax record for three consecutive years;

2. Employees: hold positions such as Deputy General Manager or Deputy Factory Manager in China, or hold deputy senior titles such as Associate Professor or Associate Researcher, and enjoy equal treatment. They have served continuously for four years, accumulated residence in China for no less than three years within four years, and have a good tax record;

3. Personnel who have made significant and outstanding contributions to China and are particularly needed by the country;

4. The spouses of the aforementioned individuals and their unmarried children under the age of 18;

5. Spouses of Chinese citizens or foreign nationals who have obtained permanent residency in China: those who have been married for at least five years, have continuously resided in China for at least five years, have resided in China for at least nine months each year, and have stable living security and residence;

6. Unmarried children under the age of 18 who seek refuge with their parents;

7. Individuals who have no immediate family members overseas and seek refuge with immediate family members within the country: over 60 years old, have resided in China continuously for at least five years, have resided in China for at least nine months each year, and have stable living security and residence.
If foreign Chinese change their name (English name is not a transliteration of Chinese name) after joining foreign nationality, they need to go through notarization procedures for name change. Proof of no criminal record, marriage certificate, birth certificate, family relationship certificate, name change certificate, etc. issued by relevant foreign institutions must be authenticated by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country.
