Foreigners can apply for visas to come to China at the Chinese Embassy in Hong Kong. According to the China Visa Application Service Center, starting from December 11, 2023, the Hong Kong China Visa Application Service Center will provide appointment free visa application processing services. After completing the online visa application form, applicants can go to the center at any time during office hours (9:00-15:00 on weekdays) to submit relevant application materials.
According to the notice issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China on March 14, 2023, since 00:00 on March 15, 2023 (Beijing time), the visa and entry policies for foreigners in China have been adjusted, including the resumption of the examination and issuance of various visas for foreigners to China. Applicants need to fill out the visa application form online and submit the application materials and collect fingerprints at the consulate window of the embassy (some applicants may be exempt from fingerprint collection). Applying for a visa may take some time, and the fees paid do not guarantee that the application will be approved and will not be refunded. The specific situation shall be subject to local policies.
