In China, foreigners are usually granted a 30 day stay visa after cancelling their work visa. During this period, foreigners can choose the following ways:
1. Looking for new job opportunities: If you find a new job within these 30 days, you can apply for a transfer of work permit and an extension of residence permit.
2. Leaving China: If you haven’t found a new job or don’t plan to continue working in China, you can use this time to leave China.
3. Application for renewal of residence permit: foreigners can also apply for renewal of residence permit if they cannot leave the country within the validity period of the residence permit for some reasons.
It should be noted that each application for the replacement of a residence permit requires the submission of corresponding materials and approval by the exit and entry management agency of the public security organs.
