Foreigners have worked in Guangdong for at least 4 consecutive years and have resided in China for at least 6 months in each of the 4 years; Foreigners with an annual wage income of more than 400,000 yuan (before tax) for four consecutive years and an annual wage individual income tax of more than 70,000 yuan can apply for permanent residence in China upon the recommendation of their employers.

Foreigners who meet the following conditions may apply for permanent residence under the category of marriage:
(1) Marry a Chinese citizen (with permanent household registration in Shenzhen) or a foreigner who has obtained permanent residence in China;
(2) The marriage relationship has lasted for more than 5 years;
