On May 8th, the Second Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-quality Talent Development Conference was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference aimed to advance the construction of talent hubs in the Greater Bay Area and further strengthen talent exchange and cooperation within the region.
During the conference, 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation promoting talent services cooperation.

According to the memorandum of cooperation, the 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area will:
1) Establish a special working group for talent cooperation.
2) Hold regular meetings (once a year) to maintain contact and communication.
3) Jointly carry out publicity and promotion to showcase the development opportunities of the Greater Bay Area
4) Conduct joint overseas talent recruitment activities to attract international high-end talents.
5) Organize talent events to facilitate the flow of high-end talents.
6) Jointly promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area talent harbor system to ultimately achieve the sharing of talent services within the Greater Bay Area and attract international talents to the region.
Following the first edition held in Guangzhou in February 2023, the talent conference this year emphasizes the cooperation between cities within the Greater Bay Area. In addition to the signing of the memorandum of cooperation, it also includes a keynote speech, one thematic discussion, and two seminars.
During the conference, the “Talent Expo” and “Hong Kong-Macao Youth Talent Exchange Activity” were held simultaneously, attracting more than 1,000 young talents from home and abroad. This allowed visitors to fully understand the all-around talent ecosystem of the Greater Bay Area.
