The requirements for foreigners to apply for certificates of the Canton Fair are as follows:
1. Identity and document requirements:
-Individuals holding foreign passports, Hong Kong and Macao Home Return Permits, Taiwan Compatriot Certificates, and valid overseas Chinese identity documents (Chinese passport+overseas permanent residence permit/visa) can apply for the Canton Fair Overseas Purchasing Certificate.
-If foreigners hold a Chinese passport, they need to have a valid overseas work visa or long-term residence permit for more than one year.
2. Pre registration requirements:
-It is recommended to apply for pre registration in advance. You can scan the pre registration QR code of the Canton Fair to obtain an electronic receipt, or log in to the Canton Fair Procurement Electronic Service Platform (Canton Fair Overseas Procurement and Procurement Representative Pre Registration Platform) and select “Pre Registration”. After successfully pre applying, you will receive a pre application receipt for the procurement certificate.
3. Requirements for carrying documents:
-I need to bring the original valid overseas personal identification document.
-Pre registration electronic or paper receipt.
-It is best to bring the company business card, although it is not mandatory, it may be used in certain situations.
4. Other precautions:
-If it is the first time to apply for a certificate, it is recommended to know the time and location of the Canton Fair in advance for smooth processing. The Canton Fair usually has remote overseas purchaser certification points (such as the Canton Fair’s overseas purchaser certification point at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, the Guangzhou hotel/guesthouse overseas purchaser certification point, the Hong Kong office, etc.) and on-site overseas purchaser certification points at the exhibition hall.
-If you have previously obtained a Canton Fair purchaser certificate and the certificate is still valid, you can directly use the certificate to enter the museum without the need to apply again.
-If the purchaser’s certificate is lost or forgotten to be carried and needs to be reissued, a service fee of 200 RMB per certificate will be charged when the overseas purchaser applies for it at the exhibition hall.
