First phase of 134th Canton Fair concluded, attracting over 100,000 overseas buyers

Concluding on October 19, the first phase of the 134th Canton Fair, saw more than 100,000 buyers from 210 countries and regions. Among them, there were nearly 70,000 buyers from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, an increase of 65.2% over the same period of the 133rd session.

With an optimized exhibition layout, in the first place, the exhibition areas for electrical and mechanical products such as home appliances, consumer electronics, machinery and equipment, and new energy has been expanded by about 3,000 booths, an increase of more than 18% over the last session, providing opportunities for more high-tech and high value-added enterprises to participate. Among them, the number of booths for new energy products has increased by 172%, so as to boost the export of electric vehicles, lithium batteries and solar cells.

Moreover, exhibitors have already uploaded more than 2.7 million showpieces on the official website of the Canton Fair, including over 700,000 new products. Since September 16, the website has witnessed a cumulative number of visitors of 6.67 million, 86% of which were overseas visitors.

The 134th Canton Fair has held 40 global matchmaking events and 177 debut events for new products, providing platforms for suppliers and buyers to conduct further cooperation. The Canton Fair Design Award (CF Award) has exhibited 141 award-winning products in both online and offline formats, and the offline exhibition hall attracted nearly 1,500 visitors every day.

The second phase of the 134th Canton Fair, held from October 23 to 27, will highlight household goods, gifts and decorations, building materials and furniture, with 15 exhibition areas, 9,674 offline exhibitors, including 202 import exhibitors from 29 countries and regions.
