In 2023, the total value of Guangdong Province’s imports and exports to Hong Kong reached 1.04 trillion RMB, an increase of 2.7 times compared to 1997, with an average annual growth rate of 5.2%.
From January to May of this year, Guangdong’s total imports and exports to Hong Kong amounted to 436.46 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%, exceeding the overall import and export growth rate of Guangdong Province by 3.5 percentage points. Among them, the export value was 417.01 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%. The import value was 19.45 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 121.1%.
